Foreclosure has become a major issue in recent years. In the past few years, many homeowners in Florida and the rest of the nation have faced foreclosure.

Recently, some foreclosure news has arisen regarding the comedian and actor Chris Tucker. Tucker, 39, has played roles in several movies including: the “Rush Hour” films, “The Fifth Element” and “Money Talks.” Now, it appears that Tucker is facing foreclosure on a property in Florida that he owns.

The property in question is in Central Florida. According to the Orlando Sentinel article which reported this story, the property is a 10,000-square-foot, 5-bedroom home. The home reportedly is a waterfront home. One somewhat unusual thing that the home reportedly includes is a basement that is designed like a pirate ship.

Reportedly, Tucker bought the home in 2007. It has been reported that Tucker bought the home for around $6 million. Reportedly, the home’s current assessed value is around $1.6 million.

According to the Orlando Sentinel article mentioned above, foreclosure papers have been filed in a court in Lake County in regards to this property. According to these foreclosure papers, Tucker owes a bank over $4 million in connection to this property. It will be interesting to see what happens in this foreclosure case and how it is ultimately resolved.

This case underscores a couple of points worth noting. The first is that many individuals have faced foreclosure in recent years. The second is that people from many different walks of life can face foreclosure.
